17 or 18 inch rims

Hi there MY Mom is going to buy my 4runner off of me as i am going to school then i am buying it back after 3 years, she wants to put on 17 or 18 inch rims right now i have 16 inch rims on 265/70/16 so my question is what size tires are there for 17 or 18 inch rims and will these tires lower the truck isnt there a Mt/R that fits 17 inch rims?

You said you have 260s on there now...so the 275/285 would be noticably bigger. I'm not too familiar with the metric sizes, but I doubt 275/285 will fit on a stock rig (no-lift).

If she is not off-roading, she will appreciate some AT tires much more than MTs. Also, it should give you more options w/ 17-18" rims.

I think the other guy was right about the "Pimp it out" thing...but to each there own...

285/70r17 = 32.16x10.83 (approximately)

don't get a 17-18... well, if the look is that important to her then i guess go for it, but you can find awesome wheels that are 15" and look great. I have found you don't need bigger wheels to make a big difference in the appearance... espcially if your going for the offroad look. Plus, they will be lighter, cheaper and tires will be cheaper too. But if your going for the on-road look then disregard everything i just said... its just... personally I like the off-road look on the 4Runner MUCH better. A land yacht like a denali pulls off the onroad look better (imho). Look for the bridgestone duller revo in the size you end up using... its a great tire. Ive got them on my truck and i love them.
