Roger Brown is 4Crawler

The only time you should add a body lift is when you need to clear larger tires, in my case the 265/75-16 BFG AT's were 31.8" diameter and I wanted to run 315/75-16 MTR's at 34.8". Since I had minor rubbing with the BFG's that I didn't mind I went with a 1 1/2" RB BL, the difference in the tire diameters, divided by 2.

BTW this is an old post, but it's better than starting a new one on the same subject.

I had a 1" and went to 2" to eliminate some rubbing. Do it right the first time. Go for 2".
BTW Austin, I was checking out your write up again on the hitch flip mod. Do you have any pictures of it now that you have your 2" BL? I've been wanting to do this for a while but I still haven't got around to it.

4Crawler Offroad is the company and Roger Brown (that's me) works for the company. I've been trying to clear up any posts and web pages with the confusing information. Afterall, you probably use Microsoft Windows on your PC, not "Bill Gates" Windows

I added a section on the 4Crawler Offroad body lift kit that hopefully clears this up:

hey, i might have something for you. you know i've been having spacers cut out of HDPE for a while now. well, then center cuts from the "donuts" are the perfect size to be a "trimpacker" for one of rodger's kits. they're 3/8" thick, so 0.375". i could drill out a set of 10 and ship them to you for pretty cheap. all you'd have to do would be to jack the body off the frame (like when installing the body lift the first time) and slide the spacers in on top of your current lift blocks, then reinsert the bolts and tighten down. you'd end up w/ a 2.375" body lift. you could do two spacers per body mount (one top and one bottom) and have 2.75", but for 0.75", you'd probally have to get longer bolts locally.

1" is too small, and 3" is too big, Go with 2" . I have one in my 96 with no problems.

lol. This thread has died 3 times. It was posted in 2003. There called '4Cawler' body lifts (not Rodger Brown). The guy that posted it now has a 1 1/2" BL in his sig.
How much more ridiculous can it be?

You're right... I've been running a 1½" RB BL since Sept/Oct of '03.
