if you decide to chop it... i think it will look better if you make the back perpendicular to the ground... rather than matching to the back of the rear door... i just like that look better... just my $0.02.....

on the first page of the post you had a sick roof mount lightbar.
where did you get it? i've been looking all around on the internet for my 93 PU and debating if i want to just go hit up the local tube bender to get it all done.

hey guys! been awhile:/
heres an update and pics.
so last update i had just cut the top off. since then, ive done quite a bit
sorry i dont really have pics of the work in progress, but have ones of the results
so i capped the sides and top of the body that was exposed from the chop, and modified the soft top to fit with a good seal and still fold down.
i didnt like being tall and skinny, so i put chevy axles under it using full with kit from Sky Manufacturing, and also got a set of dana 44 flat top knuckles machined by them for high steer kit. the rear 12bolt has a detroite with 4.56's, and the front ten bolt has a lock-right.
the T-cases got attention with a dual case kit, and 4.70 gears in the rear one from trail-gear. and a dual case crossmember from them had to be modified to hold the cases behind the 3.0 and R151 trans. its all 23 spline. and while i was in there i put in a ceramic heavy duty clutch from trail-gear.
in doing all that i had to reconfigure my exhuast.
i also added to my cage, connecting the rear roll bar to the front cage and took out the pull out drawer and built a custom tire holder to fit an ice chest and what not underneath.
i am currently waiting for paint, but put on some ivan "sharp" fenders and primered it.
i already have the paint, but just waiting on a matching hood with scoop. then can paint.
its going to be black with a silver bottom, and black bumpers and silver cage.
i cant be more happy with the results, and next on the list is hydro assist and longer travel front driveshaft.
here are some pictures. got questions about the build, or want pics of a certain part let me know.
and this is what im planning for paint.
