Wow, thats alot of stuff! A very ambitious project for sure. What do you plan on doing with the wiring..? I'm always frustrated when I see a bunch of wires like that even though I am a computer guy.

im using the exsiting wiring harness thats with my frame and engine. im going to have to do a some rewiring for the instrument cluster and power doors locks and windows. but not to worried about it. as long as she runs, them can make whatever else work. and as a back up my friend is a wicked electritian.

dude not trying to take the wind out of your sails, but that truck looks very top heavy. But I think your project looks sweet.
I speak from the problem of a truck being top heavy from experience.

they are the ones second to back, beneath the rear doors.
the first gens have them further up, and to the rear.
i just cut them off and relocated them.

beware!
definately not a plug and play prodject. well, at least not for me. my doner truck was a 4x2 auto, as appose to my 4x4 5 speed. and had to keep my original wiring harness which has numerous obsticles to get to work with the new body.
examples:
power windows and locks
new guage cluster wich i had to rewire
heating and a/c
ignition control switch
tail and reverse lights
steering column/lights,blinker,wiper, hazard controls
plus the expected extra pedel and master clutch cylinder and what have you.
the only reason i have to do all these things is because i had to use my old harness.
if you do decide to do the body swap i recomend a better doner than i got. i just picked it up cause the interior was prime and i couldnt beat the deal.
but the wiring harness was all jacked up, and though it was ment for the same motor, it was an automatic. so ECU and stuff was different.
i would guess that if you can get doner with a good harness for the same engine and tranny, then it will definatly be alot easier than my swap, and close to a plug and play.
let me know if you do decide to do it and have any questions or concerns

i really like this one that was in the 2006 ultimate adventure. i think its real tight but definately not a daily driver:/
im going to keep it how it is for awhile and see what i think. im playing with the idea of chopping the rear and using the back half of my soft top from my old body, that'd be pretty sweet.
