Engine swap

Engine swap
My 87 22r pickup blew a head gasket at 240,000 miles. I'm over 600-800 dollar trips to the mechanic so I want to put a new engine in it. I'm wanting to be semi economical but also do something that will be good for me for a long time.
I have heard of a 4 cylinder turbo diesel going in these trucks. Any suggestions from you folks?

The only thing I have read on shops doing this was on diesel toys.com. The cost of putting in a used 1KZT-E Turbo Diesel scared me away. If you think it is for you hurry ang get on their waiting list as they abr changing business model and not doing swaps after 2016.
Looks like Ike a sweet conversion, if you have the means.

Btw, by my back of the napkin calculation, the cost minus $4000 for getting a front clip to the USA, minus $2500 for incidental parts leaves 14000 (for a 92 pickup). Divide that by a guess of 80 hours gives a shop rate of $175/hr.
Take out the other costs of doing business and this might not be a bad gig to get into, presuming the demand is there.
