Replaced front shocks with procomp 1000+9000 in the rear
From summit racing (there 15min up the road)
Replaced the sway bar end links with some poly versions from summit
10-25
Replaced Upper + Lower Ball joints
OEM from the Dealer here in Akron
Also setup a vendor account with them so the OE is at a discount
($51 each + some hardware )
Replaced aftermarket Thermostat with a Genuine+Coolant swap
Couple of vacuum lines got swapped just cause

Preformed Valve adjustment @ OE specs.......
.008 int
.012 ext
Found Cyl's 1-2+4 intake valves WAY loose
Found Cyl 4 exhaust valve @ .004 <Tight!!!
Ill give it 2 weeks of driving and check again
I may set them a bit tighter then suggested
I have read some .006 + .010 on higher mile engines
As the wear pattern is established

During valve adjustment for "loud valve train"
I checked the timing chain
I do NOT have the notorious "Drivers side guide" broken
The Chain is WAY loose so this is next

Todays Plan
11-25
Swap door contact switches for center light
Pass side is working A+
Drivers side has yet to kick the light
So a quick swap of the switch will verify the system parts as OK or NOT
Along with the same for the switches
While Im on the interior bits
Im going to pull the heater control face
The bulb inside is blown out (I hope this is the case)
And its getting annoying to NOT b able to see the controls when its dark

OK
Short work of the 2 issues posted above
Found single wire connector for the switch behind drivers lower kick panel
Was UNPLUGGED... <Reconnected and wallalla
Light in dash for HVAC control was also blown
Replaced bulb and its all good
Found some nice wiring in there for the DIGI clock connector
So Ill be sourcing this at some point
AND I measured the center cubby and my CB will fit right in there nicely

Stopped at pull a part
Snatched a NICE front and center/rear view mirror assembly from a 4runner
Has dual lights
Independently switchable
With door function (Now that I have both door switches working.. Its nice!!)
Grabbed a Digital clock as my Base model truck had a block off plate
Plugged it in and got NOTHING.....
So Ill need to test the wiring for constant B+ as well as the dimmer circuit
Ill also b adding power and Gnd to the digi light to test it

Your spare tire assembly has rust holes or just rusted solid? My old 84 spare tire crank down assembly in 2006 was rusted solid and would not move so I bought some Evapo Rust at Rural King or can be had at Auto Zone, I got a container with a lid and let is soak it for a while I don't remember how long, just read the directions and I let it soaked and it ate the rust and then it functioned like new and remounted.
On my 87 in mid 90's I couldn't find a non rusted up chain one and found a 2WD cable one that was perfect, it uses 3 bolts to attach to cross member and had to drill another hole in another location and the chain one uses 4 bolts. It probably was designedonly for the 14 inch rims and small tires there for using a cable not a chain and it held up great with a 15 inch rim and 30x9.50 tire mounted using it till I sold the truck in 2000...

Awesome sore on parts!!!!
Your toy is a 1990, did you get a full gauge cluster with speedo cable output for a cable speedo?
I leave the salvage yard with my pockets full of fasteners af what ever is lying on the ground or left in vehicles after some people remove parts, saves on having to go to ACE and pay money for common fasteners that are just lying around :}
