cheap-ass' 1990 Pickup Build-Up Thread

Well the time has come to do the ever so popular sas and i am more than happy to do it.
Parts:
4" ifs eliminator(5150 bilstiens)
4" rear
63" chevies
frame plates
diff covers
v6 thirds
and probably more that i cant remember
Later to come probably this fall
5.29 gears
Yukon zip lockers
dirty 30's
chromo hub gears
39.5's or 38's
15x12 beadlocks
anyways hear are the pics so far

The rest are all axle tear down.



The best part shes not bent

Thats most likely it until next week so stay tuned i'm just getting stated

So did you buy the rear 4" leafs AND the chevy 63's? Not ragging, just curious. And that truckload of parts is a beautiful sight, even if they aren't mine.

Well it depends on the day. I work differernt hours of different days. So just text me or something and let me know. Have you started tearing anything down yet?

Seth_ i have torn the axle down and thats all so far i still gotta drive the truck until the 15th when it all starts.
Deathtrap well i got the 63's for free and i got the 4" rears because i wanted all the parts that were in the kit and i might keep the 4" rears or sell them i am undecided so far.

Well not as rich as i would like i would love to have diamonds and 42" iroks ,duals and all under a 2004 tacoma but hey what i got is what im going to work with

Yea there 4" trail gear springs they will flex alot better than your blocks and it wont be bouncy in the rear.
After that sas im going to re paint it white and get these made up for it.

its going to look sweet

I need to know my stock gear ratio so i can find the correct stock V6 3rd so i can have 4x4 for the summer until i upgrade my thirds and tire set up for the winter i heard its some code in the vin number but idk

Heres the links for checking your gearing. The first one is for decoding your vin plate but I would go to the 2nd link after that and do the spin and count method to verify.
