Thanks Sean . Ya I was going to go all the way and make it a trailer queen going all ot and linking it. But plans have changed at least for the front it'll remain leaf sprung ( still need to get the pro junk springs out and some tg or mc in but with time. And ya I agree
Tiger 14 ga should suffice. And a lil extra weight out back won't be too big a problem hell on stock springs when it was all said and done i probably gained an inch of lift... And harbor thAt's why it's temporarily cabbed in with a HD tarp from walmart lol cuz no floor pan plus open back cab = crap everywhere in the cab and it is my current dd.

Parts r on order and will be here next week so this weekend I'm gonna be tearing alot of her down I'll take plenty of pics . But she may be postponed for a lil while I just found a really good deal on a stock 87 runner that the owner wants 700 for so I'll be Checking it out and will probably buy it as long as the body And motor are yotatech decent lol if I do buy it. Ill post pics. And it will become my dd so I can really strip the 85 down and finish building it the way it deserves but don't worry I'll finish her no matter what

I placed an order with MC last tuesday and they didnt have it processed till friday, no big they were at the Hammers... which eventhough it put a hump in my plans... gotta love a company that actually shuts down cuz everyone is into the toyota crawlers... if that makes sense, but ya Pismo next weekend u'll have plenty of fresh toy porn. so... i called my good friend at the junk yard to c if he had a 4runner top shift gear drive t -case.. he said he did and he'd charge me 250+tax to get it to me in west texas... I was like hell ya. well it arrived today...
as u can see... its a forward shift tcase... looks like i may order a top shift conversion kit along with a set of 4.7 gears... and then down the road i may turn my old reduction box into just that. a crawl box.. wat do u think. although i must say.. 250 for case. 100 for top shift conversion.350 for gears... i coulda ordered a new one from trail gear when it was all said and done... idk HELP

700 vs 850 .... which includes a 200 core charge. plus sp deduct a 100 for round trip shipping.. looks like i may save 50 bucks of course that is if i get free shipping lol, but since i gotta pay that probably a whole 20$

I would just sell that one and get a top shift from the money you make, if you can find one easily.

I'd call your buddy and see what he says about sending you the wrong case. Maybe he'll swap it for what you ordered. And that sounds pretty steep on the price to me. If I'm remembering correctly, I've been quoted about 150 for a t/case around here (sacramento, Ca).

Well I talked to my buddy.. turns out ther damn parts puller got lazy and packed the wrong case.. The correct one is on the way, and 250 is fair considering they pay shipping, inspect for any hairline cracks, excessive bearing play, and clean it nicely... even will do seal inspections. and Chad at Highway 64 has always taken care of me, even let me have a toyota e locker 3rd for the amzingly low price of $50 and there wasnt jack wrong with it. and he has even given me parts b/c there has been a time or two he forgot to put me on the list, so he let me go pull and just gave it to me... all in all paying a little more to someone that does follow through on his word.. Worth it to me instead of a junkyard savin me a few bucks and saying um looks like ur sol... They do ship nationwide, so if anyone may be interested there number is 505-598-5584 and speak to Tre or Josh (chad is the GM). they will take care of u, and be sure to reference me Spencer. They got a huge stockpile of toyota parts FYI.
