Rehab of 80 Sport Truck....
I won't call it a restoration, more like a rehab of sorts. She was in fair shape when I got it over 6 months ago, the original paint was faded and she ran like crap. The windshield was badly chipped, the seat was torn up, carpet was in rough shape, exhaust was shot..etc,etc,etc.....did I mentioned she barely ran?
Today was her debut drive after the winter in rehab....work done so far....newly rebuilt original carb, all fluids changed, total full tune up...she runs like new now! Also new exhaust system, new shocks, buffed out the original paint, replaced the original peeling factory Sport Truck graphics, new windshield, new carpet, had the seat reupholstered, straightened out some electrical gremlins, got all the lights working. Still could use new tires but otherwise she's ready for Spring, just waiting on the forecast Gods to cooperate...

I'm actually kind of glad you said that. Part of my plan is to add sound deadening. Cld tiles to reduce the vibration, then some vinyl foam and closed cell foam over that. I was wondering how much clearance there would be in that spot specifically. Might turn out ok.
Did the carpet reach all the way to the back?

What a great example of any early 4x4! Lovin the color and the white wheels with hubcaps as well as the stripes. Looks like it rolled off the cover of 1980 pickup brochure.
Well done!

If you saved those measurements that info would be very helpful to those who do not have access to any old stripes.
