I want your truck

edit-I would be curious to see some interior shots of the cab, especially the back seat area. I know there is isn't gonna be a ton
leg room. But I would love to have a 1st Gen Double cab...

ok so an update... hope you all dont think it has been ruined... was a pretty virgin DC

ok so it has the usual
37s, F&R auto lockers, hysteer, trail armour everywhere, 4.7 tg, RUF 12" billies, ifs rears, chromo cvs, probably other rubbish to but cant remember.

Let the pics do the talking, it will be getting tube doors all round soon and a cage, not sure whether an exo or internal. i like internals cause you still get the style of the body, but i like the panel protection of exos.

One of my tow rig for good measure lol.

I will try get some inside shots this weekend when I go for a wheel for yas. The blue is from a Yamaha motorbike know as Tarhetian blue i think, candy apple application, so base coat, then pearlescent and then a tinted clear... makes touch up bloody hard lol

The white one is a 1989 y60 nissan patrol known as a GQ. It has a 4.2 straight 6 diesel, will be turbo soon, runs coils, 5 link rear, radius arm front, has a 3 inch lift, 33s, barwork, dual batts, spotlights, hot water shower, roof rack, uhf, and all the other rubbish needed to go touring... or as you guys may call it on a expedition.

The white one tows the Hilux on a dual axle flat bed full width (2.45m) Heavy Duty trailer. All up im probably pushing near on 4700kg (4.7 ton)

Cheers

i hear you on the internal vs. Exo debate..I went internal but kind of think a partial exo: fender tubes-bed side tubes would be good.

If you ship your truck to me I can fix that steering wheel on the wrong side problem you seem to have

Those Maxxis tires would be nice..

Haha, yeh ill just send it over, can just swap for abit... like exchange students but for rigs lol.

Yeh thinking i might do a cage over the cab and then a decent front bar like yours that will protect motor and radiator in a roll over but no front fender bar work... so ultimately an internal but externally.. if that makes sense. Im not so worried about the front fenders as you can buy after market ones, its the doors that are hard to find and the acctual tub and pillars and so on. Tube doors will solve door problem and very tight simple exo i think it will still do the truck justice without being over the top.

yeh the maxxis creepies are a schweet tyre, i run about 7 psi in them on the trail. Will beadlock them externally soon too so should be able to run about 3 or 4.

cheers mate, would be about $2500 to purchase a decent whole truck over here, would need rust repairs and probs alot of mechanical gremlins sorted, someone the other day thought about 6 to 8 grand including 2500 for purchase of truck to get it over to you guys... thats what I heard anyways. As cool as they look the extra doors can make wheeling harder, panel damage isnt nice
