1981 Toyota DD/ Trail Truck build
SO a couple weeks I bought a 1981 Yota Pickup. Its the SR5 model. I got it for $500 heck of a deal for a running truck. The body has a lot of rust, but this is my post for the build up. I have new seats out of a totaled s10 to put in it, so far I've put a rollbar on it, rebuilt the carb, put new shocks on the rear and put a new steering wheel on it. Next week im putting new front struts and a new steering stabilizer. If anyone has advice for the truck or any ideas let me know. I'm going to paint it WWII OD Green here soon. I'll post pictures later this evening The picture of the carb is before I rebuilt it

The can corners are rusted pretty bad, and the drivers side right at the pedals is really bad so I'm going to patch it with some sheet metal I've got laying around and I'm going to put some spray on bed liner in it to cover it all up and make it look a little but better

So I changed my plans for the whole plan for the truck looks, I want to take as much of the looks as possible back to factory looks as I can that won't interfere with my other plans for the truck. I'm going to go back to one of Toyota's blue paint colors and I'm going to restore the dash as best possible, I am currently in the process of taking the dash out heres some pictures of what I got done today.
I tested that spray can bedliner since thats what I am painted my cab floor with and it actually turned out pretty good
