I bought this truck less then a year ago, with some plans in mind, but gas prices, and my desire for a car have brought me to selling it. When i purchased the truck it had about 180k on it and was in need of a tune up, exhaust, etc.
Within the first month i replaced
-Distro cap and rotor
-Plug wires(NGK)
-Plugs(NGK)
-Air filter(K&N FIPK added)
-Full Cat Back Exhaust
-Catalytic Converter
-Full Oil Change with Toyota Filter(Mobil 1 syn, or Pennzoil syn only)
-Changed gear oil in front and rear diffs
Just recently i have replaced
-Fuel Filter(yota oem)
-Fuel Pump(yota oem)
Regular maintenance has always been performed
-oil and filter changed every 3k, syn only!
-driveshaft greased every other oil change
The truck is 16 years old so it does have some small issues
-the top of the radiator has a hairline crack that has been temporarily patched...it no longer leaks, and when it did only slightly. I never let the radiator run low on fluid, nor the overflow.
-it needs a front end alignment, the PO never aligned the truck when he put the new tires on and the front driverside tire has some bad camber wear...only reason i let it wear was i was planning for bigger tires in the future.
-power to fuel pump issue. it is currently temporarily resolved and the truck drives fine, but if purchased it is something to look at. the fuel pump was only getting a three second purge on ignition, then no longer getting any power after. seeing that i had low fuel pressure i replaced the pump and filter. both helped but didnt fix the problem and the truck would still shut off shortly after startup. i jumped the diagnostics plug for the fuel pump and power and it runs fine now, but its only a temporary fix.
some history on the truck since i have had it.
-i have offroaded the truck about 3 or 4 times, mainly on a small trail near my home that is strictly just a construction road that is about 10 miles long...very beginner and very easy.
-the only other offroading that has been done with the vehicle is one trip to paragon with some of the other forum members.
i currently have the sway bar removed, endlinks were bent and i wanted better articulation. that will be included with whatever mounting brackets i have that came off the truck. i also have a truck box, it came with the truck, that will also go with the truck.
i had many plans for this truck to be my DD/trail rig, but my desire for a car has overcome that. with that said i was in the middle of some of my modifications...eg(carpets gone to be replaced with bedliner, plastic bedliner gone to be replaced with brush on bedliner, some primer spots, minor rust that was gonna be taken car of, etc)
I paid $2800 for the truck less then a year ago when it was in need of some work, so my asking price will be $2600, since i did most of the work it needed, but there is still more to do. I will post a VIN and new pictures as soon as it stops raining and i can go outside.
