I just placed an order from them for a wheel. they gave a pretty good price for the wheel but tried to charge a lot for shipping. I negotiated the price of shipping and feel I got a pretty good deal. I will let you know how the whole transaction goes when I receive it.

Update:
I got my wheel that ordered today. They shipped it via DHL and it was a packaged well not in a box but enough bubble wrap and plastic to keep it safe. I did call them back to get a set of head rest and was blown away with how much they wanted ($75 each for the rears) So I passed on those. Overall I would use them again if they had something I needed and quoted me a decent price.

true in many aspects but I also know that the junk yard buys a truck or 4runner for 100$ then sells a door for 75$ and a hood for 100$ and a hard top for 300$ thats a major profit.
we have one salvage yard that parts out cars and trucks and the have reasonable prices compared to the 3 auto junk yards near by.
only problem with the salvage yard the price of steel gos up the cars go away and then you have to waite for more stuff to come in again.

Wrecking yards are in the business of....doing business. That means we have to make money.
Unlike people on craigslist, EBAY, and other trade site, we have overhead. That means we have to pay Employees, lights, water, sewer, rent, and a host of other things. All that adds up, and fast.
Just like anyone else, we want to buy as low as possible, and sell for as much money as we can reasonably get. Think about everyday things you buy. A big mac? How much can that really cost to make, $.25? Yet you pay $2.50 for one. That spendy lift for your 4Runner. Maybe $250 total to fab, yet the kits are $1200+
Sorry for the rant, but I just get SO angry when I hear people whine about the pricing of wrecking yards. Wanna know why there are none around anymore? Among other things, owners just get tired of people bitching about the pricing, so they sell the land off to a developer for $3 million, and say forget it.
