84-87 Pickup Bed Parts
I was wondering if anyone knew of an aftermarket source for bed parts (sides/fenders) for the 84-87 2WD & 4WD pickups? I have 5 trucks of this vintage and they all have the bed rust typical to these years. It seems all the sources I have found have all the body panels from the bed forward but not the bed sides. I have also heard of a patch or repair panel that can be sectioned into these beds but have never seen them. Any ideas?

I bought a new box side a while back from a local Toyota shop.
$300 per side. I have an 88 4X4.
You might want to get ahold of a shop and see what they say. I had a few guys tell me the were no longer available, but this one came in a big box with TOYOTA on the side. So they are available if you dont mind spending the $$$

Might be better off going with a 89-94 truck bed and swapping out the whole thing. I am pretty sure they are compatible, toyota didn't change the frame much.
I just recently did a rusty bed fix, and it turned out pretty good! Surprising what one can do on their own, I had my dad's help, but we only spent maybe $100, and besides the fact the one side doesn't have the body molding ridge along the side infront of the fender, and the opposite side is missing part of the seam, you can't tell a patch job was done.
Oh, and you might look into fiberglass bed sides. They are $$$ though. You can look at fabtech (www.fabtechmotorsports.com), but I remember reading that they sell rebadged fiberglass parts, and to order directly from their supplier is cheaper, although I don't remember who that is . Oh and you can get ivan stewart styled bed sides

Flatbedding looks like my best option now. I have seen a couple (one homemade and one aftermarket) that I liked a lot. Some of the flatbeds I have seen seem like the bed floor is way too high but after looking at the 2 I liked I know how to avoid this.
I will do some measuring on the 89-94 beds also if I see one, I hadn't even considered looking at a different year series.
I checked out those fiberglass pieces, pretty pricey but good looking stuff.:chicken:
Thanks to all for the replies!

hello motorbreth77 the bed is in very good shape there is very little rust i would generally say it's rust free but there are little places where the paint has been nicked that a little rust is. i would like 650.00 for this [i think] very nice bed but that price is negotiatable. i never made pics but i am working on it.
