i need to either find a 4 cyl 4.56 third for my front, or a V6 4.10 third for the rear. snap-on, are you still in need of a 4.56 third? do you have a 4.10 V6 third?

This is a stupid newbie question but if your diff ratios are different in the front and back what is it that keeps all four wheels spinning at the same speed when in 4wd, without wear on the transfer case.

no i ended up finding an rear axle drum to drum for $300 that had 4.56 and a lunchbox in it
but along the way i picked up a 4.10 4cylinder third for the rear...
<edit>
oh duh! :pat: ya i do have a 4.10 v6 rear... but it currently has my detroit in it and ive never gotten around to swaping things around.

Ok so a REALLY quick history of the rear in my truck... i put a one piece rear drive shaft in and that turned out to be nothing but headaches.... trashed the rear third... so i had a new one built with a detroit. but in a blind moment of idoitness i ordered up 4.10 gears misunderstanding that my truck had 4.56 in it. (ya you can imagine how i felt just spending $800 on something that turned my truck into a 2wd!)
so to fix it i ended up finding a whole new axle and just swaped it out. so i still have my complete old axle with (brand new toyota) 4.10 v6 and detroit gathering rust in the backyard.
