1989 FJ-62 Pristine Arizona Truck - Fully Restored and Built Up

http://www.sonoransteel.com/cruiser.html

1989 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ-62: Currently 218,000 Miles
For Sale: $20,000
E-Mail: steve@sonoransteel.com

This truck has been in Phoenix, Arizona since brand new. There is no rust on this vehicle what so ever. Frame is as clean as it was the day it came off the boat and the body is all original and not a speck of rust.

This is a close as you can get to going back to 1989 and buying one new.

I am putting the vehicle up for sale as it is my wife’s truck. She is not a wheeler and would now like a car or unibody SUV. It would have been nice if she liked wheeling but she does not. If it does not sell for the asking price, we’ll keep it. I have no pressure to sell it and do not mind keeping it for a long time to come. It’s only going to get more valuable.

Also no bank will give you a conventional auto lone for this much money on a 1989 vehicle. The buy is basically going to need to already have the cash. Please don’t e-mail if you would have to get a loan, they will not give you this much for a 1989.

Off-Road History:
This is my wife’s truck. I thought she might like wheeling, but like most women, she does not. This vehicle has seen very little trail use. Here is its entire history, in order:

1. Lake Pleasant to Crown King (Arizona 3/5, easy run)
2. Coke Ovens (Arizona 2.5/5, easy run)
3. Tip Top Loop (Arizona 3/5, easy run)
4. Hells Revenge (Moab, 3/5, easy run)
5. Golden Crack (Moab, 3/5, easy run)
6. Sunflower Mine (Arizona 3/5, easy run)

My 1999 4Runner with the Dana 44 front axle conversion is the Trail Beast. Our FJ-62 is truly a pavement pounder.

Found a very serious buyer in New York, but she decided to keep it. That is sort of what I thought would happen.

So I dumped the 33x12.5x15 and put on stock rims and 33x9.5x15 and the thing came to life. It gets pretty darn good gas milage for an old Crusier and she can hit and hold 90 on the highway.

The FJ-62 has been sold for the asking price of $15,500. It is on it's way to be a Surf vehicle in Baja California.
