Thought you said u cant get them because of national back order? Dude there are alot of cheaper tires out there.Just go buy some crap from a salvage yard, you asked for ideas or advice,we gave it.If u want Toyos, then wait several months and get them.I like the Toyo, but I have seen the Duratrac in person several times.

Ive shown u where on this forum to get excellent advice, especially on the Duratrac. You sound like your minds made up on the Toyo. Its an average tire at an average price. If u wanted a great tire then you would quit refering to the MT because its cheaper and just buy it already. What Im getting at is a good tire is as important as keeping clean oil in your engine.I never skimp on tire quality.Search this forum for the past several years and it will help make up your mind.

wow this thread kinda went into the crapper! Matt, you getting any kinda rebate on your duratracs or any kinda deal? One of the reasons I got mine was because they were doing 12 months of no interest if my credit was good enough so I paid like $200 up front and now im just making payments. Plus I got a $25 instant and a $40 mail in rebate which made them less than $700. This made the tires well worth the money.
As far as the tire decision goes, tires are one of those things you really want to be happy with (especially if you are spending around $600) so I can see where bowtie is coming from. We gave him our experience/opinions on tires and now he needs to pick the ones he feels fit him the best.
^^^^^^
Damn I sounded like a pu$$y!!
I do love my duratracs though, you are gonna be happy with them matt.

love the trxus mt's but they had a plant go down (so they say) and everyone i talk to says two to three months and i live in ohio. i just ordered the bfg km2's and heard great things from a few of my jeepy friends but not so good in the snow or soft ice. i was recommended to get the center lugs siped and am now looking for a place that can do that.
the trxus mts were definitely my first choice as i never got stuck with them in snow, mud up to my axles, gripped great on rocks and never lost pieces off of them. down sides were that the rubber compound was soft and they didn't go as far as i would have liked, needed a lot of weight on two of them and one went egg shaped on me toward the end of its life. but i would get them again in a heart beat.
