Picked up some new shoes for my 82....

I decided to go with the Nokian Vatiiva M/T 31x10.5x15.

I am coming from the tires that came on the truck, 235/75/15 so i gained a little clearance and it looks wayyy better.

these tires are fairly gnarly looking!

first impression is they are defiantly louder then the little pathfinder a/p that was on the truck but that is to be expected.
when you slow to a stop, just before the stop you can feel it rumble down a little, is that normal? never had m/t tires.

cant wait for snow now.

oh, there is tons of room left!!! i think 33s would clear easy! there is over 7.5 inched from the top of the tire to the fender! and about 5 inches to each corner of the fender! and under full lock still a lot of clearance, about 2 inches.

but 33s would really bog it down I suppose right?

pics to come another day.

My truck had 33's install on it when I got it. And it had stock gearing. And it suck! The 22r just was not powerful enough to get going fast at all.

But when I installed some 4.88's everything changed.
I love it I can drive 80 miles per hour all day no problem.

These tires are freakin loud! I have never had anything but reg tires or a/t tires and these beasts rumble on the freeway.

I am going to take a few pics today and post them.
