M/T wheels & Nitto tires
For all of you intersted in M/T Classic Lock wheels and Nitto tires, I have them mounted on my '99 4Runner. Click on the pictures for a larger image.

Steve - Looks great I want to get a set for my rig. What part number did you get? On the M/T website it shows 16x8 with 4" back spacing, -16.0mm ofset P/N 468412. Are these the rims you got? With the new rims is there little to no rubbing?

rubbing??? do you mean with the tires rubbing on the body? If so, then there is no rubbing. The American racing wheels had a backspacing of 4 3/8". These M/T wheels have a backspacing of 4".
the Part# is 468412. The bolts are real bolts and not rivits. You can change out the lock ring to different colors if you like. On the M/T site, they have pictures of the different color lock rings.

Those look great on your truck! I was on the fence about those wheels, but I plan to run my new set year round, so I didn't want all the bolts to have to contend with (polishing, etc.) I did the regular Classic II's.
Do you run a body lift at all? I put my 1" on last night to help clear 33's on my 2G.

I don't know man, it kinda looks like a street queen now instead of a trailer queen
No seriously, it looks great and I am sure the ride is much more enjoyable. I don't think I would give up my smooth highway ride permanently cruising at 85mph is very comfortable, that's why I want a trail set and a street set. I'll talk to the wife soon.
I wish I would have had time today to stop in and say hey. I flew through Santa Fe (literally) early this morning and late this evening. Next time. And when you come down here give me a call!

I just read an old may issue of peterson's off-road and they rated these tires really really well. They said it did wonders in the sand, and it's weak point was mud. But an overall great AT tire.

RTdawgs, I'm sorry these are the best pictures, but the wife had the 4Runner till after dark. Here is what I have. The 4Runner is a limited 4Runner, so the fender flares are a bit wider than 4Runners without these fender flares. In one of the pictures, you can see how far the flare sticks out, and how the wheel falls exactly under the flare.

Yeah, I remember reading somthing about these tires. I am pleased with them and really want to take them out for a test run in the dirt. However, I'm in the middle of creating a rear sway bar quick disconnect. I'm making a disconnect that can be operated with a single pin, AND will keep the sway bar end links from flopping around. As Flygtenstein once said, "patience is a virtue".
