General Mileage Question

Hey guys,
Im currently running 31 ATs on my 4runner, and am about to begin heavy modification of my rig. I am home every summer, and take my 4runner off road a lot, but once school starts I drive about 70 miles to school and drive back home about every 2-3 weeks to visit family, so I still do my fair share of commuting. I am planning on putting 33s on (after my 4 inches of lift), but have a few questions.

1) How much will my gas mileage suffer if I make the switch to Mud Terrains? I know that jumping from 31s to 33s will hurt my mileage a bit, but switching to a more knobby tire is what im concerned about.

2) can anybody recommend any lighter tires? my goal is 33" Mud Terrain tires. Maybe some recommendations for a tire that finds a medium between off road and highway use?

Thanks a lot!

1/ there is not going to be any kind of definitive answer what are you getting now with which motor which generation 4runner? roughly? 3-4 MPG maybe less

2/ a lighter Mud Terrain? You have that much mud out there? Find a good All Terrain say Pro Comp or Nitto or similar maybe you like the BFGs and air down as needed. If you just want aggressive tread shop aggressive tread. They are out there-get your money out.

Interco is a decent brand I believe but opinions vary.
