I'm sure most of ya'll have seen the long thread that it currently ongoing (yet again) about the drama that I've had with these Dueler Revos. My question is this. I've made up my mind that I'm going with Michelin. Once store in Birmingham quoted me $881 for four 265/75/16 Cross Terrains which included mounting and road force balancing on the Hunter GSP9700 with the Haweka adapter. NTB quoted me $705 which includes mounting and regular balancing using the Haweka adapter, but on a Coates machine. Those who are familiar, please speak up especially you Gadget if you're listening. Do I absolutley have to have a new set of tires road force balanced, or is a regular balance with the adapter sufficient? Later.

I have changed tire size four times in the last 6 months. all with a brand new tire. I have never had mone road force balanced. as long as the proper adapter is used, there should be no problem balancing your tires. they are radials and not excessively large or unusual. Good luck

You may want to contact Costco if you have one locally. I was just quoted $690.46 OTD for the Revo 265/75/16 load C rated. Mounted, balanced and with a 5year road hazzard warranty.

IMHO, the Road Force feature of the Hunter 9700 is most useful if you're dealing with tires/wheels that have quality problems, such as out-of-roundness. In my experience, that isn't likely to be the case with Michelins, which are generally as round and true as tires get.

If it were me, I'd go with the lower-priced store and the vanilla balancer, as long as they have the Haweka adapter. If you don't get the balance job you want, you can always go to the expensive place with the 9700/Haweka setup and have them rebalanced.

Be prepared to like those cross-terrains a whole lot. I sure love mine. They are quiet, handle and brake well and still have 9/32" of tread depth at 41K miles.

Do whatever you feel is necessary, But when I bought my Toyo's they just did a regular spin balance W/O a Haweka adapter,and W/O doing a roadforce balance, and my tires roll as smooth as can be. I bought them from a Les Schwab tire store.

I am probably more picky about these kind of things, than anyone else I know. In my experience, the adapter, and roadforce balancer, aren't always necessary to get a great balance job.

I agree, since you are getting Michelins they will most likely not give you any problems - if they know how to properly use the Haweka adapter.
