Go with the 8" rims both of these are 12.5's on a 8" rim very nice fit 10.5's may look a bit small

Thats a slick looking runner. 12.5's are really common, so I might end up with them. I've had good luck with 10.5's and the terrain around here. They act like tractor tires and just dig through the ruts. I'm not gonna pass up a deal on some 12.5's though. My main thing was if 10.5's will work on a 10" rim. Its pretty close in width, and i've never run a tire that was basically as wide as the rim.

I wouldn't do it - especially if you ever want to be able to air down.

I have aired these 12.5's down to 10 psi many times and never had any kind of issues with it , I can't see where a 10.5 would be any issue either.

I'm running my 10.5 on stockers, they're good to around 10psi as well.

Wouldn't a wider rim have less chance of a bead coming off when you air down?

Wide rim and narrow tire is not good for airing down. A 12.50 on a 10 inch rim is no comparison to what he is asking IMO.

I'm not gonna be airing down for serious obstacles. I'm nowhere near ready to tackle the tougher trails yet, I just dont like pushing around these 14" wide tires (strain on axles), when they dont really offer any benefit over a 10.5.

Do what ya please, I'm not stoppin ya. I just think that 10" rim is too wide for 10.5" tire in any kind of offroad application.
Your original post asked for someone to post a pic of them on a 10" wide rim - notice how no one did?

[N8] is giving some good advice.
The manufacture recommended fit for 10.5's is a 7-8" wide wheel. And 12.5's should be paired with an 8" wide wheel. So if you end up with either size tires, an 8" wheel is best. Keep in mind too, with a 10" wheel, the tire will become a bit shorter. These are 33x10.5's on 15x8 wheels... ![]()
