Deliciousness

Just thought i'd share this one with y'all. as a kid when we would go camping, we would always have this meal the first night out....and i find myself making it each time i go out, too. i don't know what to call it, but here is what it is.

Bring a pot of cooked white rice with you. This way it's already done and you don't have to worry about burning it.
A can of whole pinto beans.
A slab of ham. Like the thick-cut ones that come from a bone-in ham.
Jar of salsa
Grated cheddar
Chopped green onions
Chopped cilantro
Diced tomato.

Just heat up the beans in your campfire along with cooking up your ham. Combine everything on your plate at your discretion and scarf it up!

Another good one is the foil packs that we used to make in scouts...

Lots of foil.
Seasoned ground meat...i prefer the meatloaf you can get from the butcher case.
Cans of mixed veggies or whatever you prefer.
Spices
Just toss everything into a foil "pouch" and wrap it up really really well with a few layers of foil. Then stick the pack into the embers of your fire and pull them out 20min later. Slice open the foil with a knife and enjoy!

a bag of red potatoes cut up medium size nugs, place them in a triple layer wrap of reynolds heavy duty foil, two sticks of butter stuck on top, a bottle of your choice of barbeque sauce, crazy janes mixed up salt (apply liberally), one diced onion.

Place reynolds ball in camp fire, drink six pack, take out of fire, eat, drink more, dont be tempted to drive up the tree near your site, drinnk more, scrape the crispies from the foil, drink more, find your tent, hug your dog and wife (not necesarily in that order).
