Olympus 850 SW
I had been looking for a camera to carry while hiking, wheeling, hunting and fishing. I got the Olympus 850 SW at Costco for $269.
Waterproof to 10 feet, shockproof to 5' drop, freezeproof to 14 F. Oh, and 8 megapix, 3 opic and 5 digital zoom I saw the 1030 at Best buy, but it was more money ($399). It was 10 meg, 33 foot waterproof, and 220lbs crushproof in addition to shock and freezeproof. They both have video capability, even underwater. My cheap plastic cameras have never survived more than a few months.
