You dont have room cause of the water pump? Or just no room under the hood for it? Maybe a pic would help.

i cant get the pulleys to line up, the pump is shuved up too tight to the block and is stiil too far into the radiator. i have no body lift. i need to keep fabbing i guess. it might end up mounting on the fender well.

That sounds odd the pump wont bolt back in. the rad thing I could see as its a long block but whats making the stock pump not bolt to its stock location on the block?? did you remove the pulley off the pump when you took it off and if so did you get it pressed back in all the way. Im amagining my 4.3s pump which is very similar to some 350 pumps

i build this block up and used a short water pump for clearance up front, which brings my pulleys closer to the block. if i mount the pump to the right of the water pump(looking at the motor from the bumper) it won't line up with my existing pulleys. the pump i got used and the pulley seams to be all the way on. i can get some pictures tomorrow when i head back to the shop. im trying to troubleshoot a little tonight so im fresh tomorrow.

do you have a pump w/resovor (one unit) or pump without? Sorry Im not really more help. but I would wonder if you were gonna have to get one without the resovor and add one in. I could see it being a better fit maybe.

Hope you get it all figured out. im sure you will

i just ditched my five speed bellhousing conversion for an auto 350, now the old lady loves to drive it, but shes a little too pitite to yank on the wheel like i do.. it's time for power steering!!!

Your problem is, you dont have the correct mounting bracket for the pump. There are 2 different mounts, one for a long water pump, and one for a short water pump.

Sounds like you are trying to use a mount for a long water pump, with a short water pump.

Get the correct mount and the pulleys will line up.
