Advice on wiring stock cluster

I bought my 4runner with an aluminum gauge cluster overlay that had and oil, water, volt meter and a 3 inch tach. I pulled the cluster out and found the original gauge cluster was still in the truck. The fuel gauge works but the speedo, and tach no longer work. Im thinking of making it so the original cluster works as it did with the v6. Does anyone have any tips or know how to accomplish this. I found a wiring diagram but I spent 4 hours trying to make sense of it and ended up stopping.

I traced the tach wires back to the OEM harness, They just used crimp connectors to tap into the OEM harness. I spent most of the day rewiring the cooling fans, fogs and heater blower. So I ran out of day light to pull the gauge cluster out and see if it was even connected to anything. I guess if I can figure out this rats nest I will try and post a diagram for someone else that might be interested.
