Whats up guys. I have a '82 2wd Pickup and have been resaerching the 1uzfe swap to make this one hell of a sleeper. I'd like to know if I'd need to beef up the suspension to cope with the extra weight of the V8? And how would I go about doing this? 1st gen with IFS so I dont know if there is anything out there for something like this. I may be lowering it with the torsions shortly so maybe this will just do some lowering for me?
Thanks in advance. Taylor

As for tranny I'm looking at the W58 manual out of a non-turbo supra or the R154 manual out of the turbo supra. I would leave the stock rear end till I break it (that shouldnt take to long) then I dont know maybe Supra IRS? Definetly some kind of LSD. ![]()

Ya, If I do it im definitley gonna try to take it easy till I have another rear end. Hey, maybe a V6 rear off of a newer truck? I wonder what kinda hp those can take, and if the gear ratio is similar? The stock 1uz has about 250hp and 260tq.
