83 pick up 22re swap problems
ok so i got this motor out of a 85 celica 150xxx miles blah blah blah.
i got the thing in and got all the plugs clipped up but one comming from under my intake mani sticks out on the passenger side of the motor the truck has fuel and spark we know for sure (small incident with some flameage)
the truck turns over and trys to run but just dosnt it make it there anyone have any ideas

what do you mean by efi relay? i am swapping my new 22re into my 80 4x4 and need to know what you mean. i got the whole engine harness and computer with the motor from the same running truck but i was under the influence that i would only need to splice into a few basic wires from my existiing harness.
wingman, lets group together on this one, i would love to hear how you managed to spice the wires that you did, AND what pump you used AND how you installed a return line for the efi setup.

yes you will need to add a efi relay , and another ... cant think of it right now + only about 9 wires .. I have pics ... but going threw a computer change right now .. hopefully someone else will chime in .. or i will post up some pic's as soon as i can

ok so i solved my problem for the time being by putting my 22r intake on the damn thing and made it a true first gen again but i will keep looking for that harness and eventaly make it fuel injected or just say the heck with it and 350 swap it

hey slacker i was just reading this updated post and i saw your picture of your rig, and i had some weird memory of a dream i had last night where i saw your truck driving down the road and i was like"hey! i know that truck!!" lol.. sorry, really random, and not even on your thread.. but there it is.......
