What to do about the Fuel Return Line?
Need some help with hooking up my evap lines. I replaced the fuel return line from the 3.0 canister with a 4.5 foot line and sent it to the 3.4 canister. This look right to you guys so far?
From original hardline
To Evap
What should I do with the Fuel Return Line that comes off the 5vz-fe? can I just plug it?

It should be covered in Elvota's swap: https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f160...4-swap-128285/
FYI, the line in your first 2 pictures is the gas tank vent line. The idea being that when the truck is turned off and the gas begins to evaporate it vents into the charcoal canister where it stays until you start the engine and then gets sucked into the intake to be burned as extra fuel.
Your 3rd picture is the actual fuel return line and it needs to be connected to the same fuel return line your 3.0 used. To find it, crawl under your truck, locate the 2 hard lines coming out of the top of the gas tank, and follow them into the engine compartment. The smaller diameter should be the vent line, the larger of the 2 should be the fuel return.
As far as I understand it, you shouldn't just cap it off.

That's a one way valve, or maybe a filter, I'm not really sure. Is that originally from the 3.0 or 3.4? Any idea what it was connected to originally?
As for the fuel return, yes, you'll need to attach the rubber soft line (from the back of the fuel rail) to the hard line on the firewall under the clutch line support bracket on the passenger side.

Its off the 3.4 I actually bought the motor from DeathCougar here in WA so I have no clue as to what it connected to.
Its strange because other pictures ive seen look pretty different from my hoses:

Different years i guess. Here are my hoses on top of the intake chamber:

Anyone know what goes to this nipple on the resonator?

For the second picture: On my engine, the plastic nipple has a vacuum line that goes to the idle up valve on the power steering hose, with the other side of the idle up valve connected to the aluminum nipple sticking out the front of the upper intake plenum. If you aren't using the power steering idle up valve, you could just cap that plastic nipple.
And now that I think about it, that small vacuum hose with the filter/check valve/whatever it is, looks like its the vacuum line that "feeds" the ADD VSVs on the passenger side fender.

Yeah those pictures made me go over my data limit.
ok I dont think I need to worry about the idle up yet.
That vsv has got to be it because the same filter is next to the original vsv on the firewall

Thanks for the reply.
So as I have it now I just have to hook up the real return hose to the return hardline?
Also can you tell me what on god's green earth this is?

Also, you cannot simply cap the fuel return line. You should have two lines on the pass side, one for Evap (which connects to the Evap canister) and the other is a fuel return line. Looks like you might have already figured this out?
If you want, I can take a video of my 4Runners lines and show you where they go. The engine I sold you (IIRC) is from the 97 5sp (the white one, I think, based on the AFM in the picture)

Hey Couger. I got ADD so I will have to connect that. Everything here is from the white auto 4Runner
except for the block, cylinder heads, ECM, and harness.
Here is a little more insight on the vacuum line. Its connected to the throttle opener and the
plenum, but the arrow to the right points to what might be for ADD vsv?
