Sputtering around 3 grand sometimes
Now this doesn’t happen all the time, but I’m trying to figure out what’s going on, and what would cause this reaction. I’m driving normally and plenty of power all around, sometimes when I hit 3 grand the engine will sputter or sound like it’s misfiring.
Could this be that I’m using a 1 electrode plug and not the factory called dual electrode? Now if anyone knows anything about electricity, it will arc to the least path of resistance. So I’m thinking it can’t be the plug…
Timing off a tooth? Everything starts up fine, and the truck seems like it has plenty of power…
IDK out of ideas.

Closed to open loop fuel control transition?
Incidentally, mine dips just once when in L and I get on it hard. It's like its retarding timing to change gear but doesnt change. I think this is due to a combination of 3.4 engine and 3.0 transmission. Lasts maybe 1/2 a second. I'm not worried about it.
