no injector pulse
Im in the process of finishing my first 3.4 swap. It is a 95 4runner 3.0 m/t and the donor is out of a 2000 4runner auto. It is proving to be near impossible to find a m/t ecu for a reasonable price so im going to use auto ecu until I find one. Im at the point in the swap where I need to test fire the engine but cannot get any ground signal from ecu to the injectors. The engine ran great before I pulled it out of the donor truck. I have rechecked my wiring 5 times and cant find any reason it shouldn't run. I have fuel psi at the rail, ecm is turning on because cel turns on with key on, neutral safety switch is bypassed, ground is good on engine and body. The donor truck had an immobilizer key so I swapped in a ecu out of a 99 4runner(89661-3d600) but im not sure if it had the immobilizer. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I'm supposing you checked for wires in different positions. 99 vs 2000 probably have wires in different location even though the plugs probably fit perfectly. You know it's a wiring problem. The best advice is to take a few days off from it, clear you head, and re-diagnose your wiring.

I lucked up today and found a ecu for a 01 tacoma m/t. I unhooked the nsw wires and plugged it in and she started on first try. Turns out the 99 ecu was a limited with immobilizer.
