Engine Wiring harness housing question.
Hey guys, I got my wiring harness in and I am in the process of installing it. The plastic housing that runs along the fuel rail broke into about a million pieces when I was removing it...... What are you guys using to cover the wires to protect them from heat? Does anyone know what the technical name is for the plastic housing? I have searched and searched google and nothing ever comes up... Any help would be much appreciated!

All engine bay wires are high temp. In real terms your engine doesn't get hot enough to do damage to the wiring. Cover them in a good quality vulcanizing insulating tape and they should be good for the rest of the life of the vehicle.

UKRunner,
Awesome bro, Just the answer I was hoping and looking for!
Also, I had toyonlyswaps build my harness... The T100 Transmission harness drops on the drivers side, which is the exact opposite of the 3.0 trans harness...... Did everyone reroute their transmission harness to the passengers side or are there people running it on the drivers side? I have sent cliff an email to see what he says....hopefully I wont have to send it back to him..
Oh and, Which fuse box is everyone using?? The 3.0 or the 3.4's fuse box?

Yeah SV (self vulcanizing) tape should do nicely. But if you wanted to go the extra mile, Summit/Jegs sells a heat resistant foil tape as well. I used this for areas of my harness that come colose to my headers, etc. as added insurance.
