Burping system after 3.4 swap

I finished everything up on my 3.4 swap and it cranks right up but I am wanting to make sure I have enough coolant. I have changed the T stat filled the radiator with coolant. How long do I let it idle before the T stat should open? Also how do make sure all the air is out of the system? Should I put a T in the rear heater hose to burp? If so what is the best way to burp the system with the T.

Let it idle until tstat is open and system is hot.
They sell nice burping kits at any local auto parts store.

Thanks wabbit I was just unsure of how long before the t stat opened. I just wanted to make sure I had some coolant in there.

pull a heater hose off in the rear. or pull the upper radiator hose from the radiator side and fill into the engine to make sure you have enough in the block.

I haven't drove it yet but the troubles are minimal if you get a complete donor and READ alot.
