Drivin' home last night (great day for a drive here in Montreal...weather was great) ...Engine Check light came on with VSC TRAC and OFF lights as well. (end of the great ride!)

Hooked it up to a friends computer and got these codes:

P0441 - Evap emission control system Incorrect purge flow
P0446 - Evap emission control system vent control valve circuit

Anybody ever get this problem and know what the cause is....any help would be greatly appreciated.

2002 4Runner Badlands 3.4L (Canadian version or SR5 sport)

had the same thing happen the other day, there are many threads on this

i am hoping on the gas cap being back, if not i will replace the valve

check this out, i only had the P0441 code

thanks for the feedback "boston"...I checked the gaz cap and retightened. I swtiched the light off after we hooked it up to the computer. So far no light has come on...will go for a drive this afternoon...and see. Would be great if it's something as simple as that (save myself some $$$)

UPDATE (damn!)...light came back on this morning riding into work?...so it's not the gas cap?...guess It's gonna have to go in the shop. I will try to hook it up tonight to see if i get the same error codes?
