Exclamation Guys, I need some quick help with oil filter PNs

Ok, I'm going to change my oil and it's 10:30 pm here. Probably not the best idea but I was hoping to leave for the coast in the morning. Anyways, I bought what I was told was the correct oil filter for my '93 4runner 3.0L. The PN is 90915-YZZD1. The PN for the filter that is on there now is 08922-02011. I know that they are different but I remember the parts guy telling me that there is two PNs that are the same filter. I just want to know before I started changing my oil. BTW it looks like the same filter.

Hopefully there is a late night oil changer on the boards...

Well I just did some searching on the internet and here's what I found. It looks like this is the filter for a corrola. Stupid parts people...

So much for that bright idea. It's a good thing I looked before I started with the oil change.

Sorry, can't help you, I'm posting this for moral support.

One parts guy told me there are only a few oil filters for all the toyota engines.

As long as the filter fits it should work, shouldn't it?

I just bought a oil filter for my truck ('02 Taco 3.4) at my local dealer. The part number on the oil filter box is 08922-02011. Unless we BOTH got the wrong filter, the one you got is correct. (BTW - mine fits just fine....)

Oh, so are you saying that your other filter is the 90915-YZZD1?

Ok, I just called Toyota and he said that the filter I have, 90915-YZZD1, is the current PN. I guess it might have changed.

Anyways, I'm off to change my oil.
