Disappearing OIL, No Leak, Use Heavier Oil?
Could be a PCV Valve that's burning it up.
Also, should I use a heavier oil, since I'm moving to a hot area? Recommended is 10W-30, but maybe for my remanufactured / rebuilt 50K engine, it may need a heavier 10W-40? And how about synthetic oil? There is no real leak, but I do end up missing 3 QTS of oil in about 2-3 weeks. I DID take a 400 mile trip, and I'm wondering if that really burnt up some oil. Thanks! 1993 4runner, Auto, V6, 4x4
