New to the forum, More turbo ?'s

First off let me say I'm a newb to the site and havn't really thumbed through all the threads. I will also get some picks of the rig up ASAP> I've got a HIGH mileage (550,000+ mile) 22re that I am building/rebuilding. I've got the block and head decked, ARP main, rod and head studs, 9.0:1 pistons, 510cc injectors, along with many other bits and pieces. Having a machine shop down the road with many friends whom work there is I big bonus. I'm also putting a MHI Big 16G turbo on it.

I am more or less wanting to know where to get an ECU or tuner for the swap. Or will I be just as well off going stand alone? It will be going in my 88 1Ton. Needs more power to pull what the springs can take. 8000# more than the truck takes a toll on the lil 22re and the builder will have more than enought getty up to get the job done. Any info will be greatly appriciated.

Thanks much in advance.

i know it's not what you want to know but a small block chevy would be the cheap and easy route.

megasquirt is the cheapest tuner available, but you have to build it and tune it yourself.

Yeah I know it's cheaper and I do have one to spare. I also thought about a GM 6.2 diesel or a 6.5 turbo diesel. The 350 has been done all too much and the GM diesel option just sounds like $10 a gallon in 3 months. I'll definatly be thinking it over. Worst thing that will happen is I will be posting the engine on here for sale and saying to hell with it and go to the norm. Thanx for the info all of ya.
