Shocks for sas
Im about to order the shocks for my sas but was wondering if bilsteins are really worth the extra money. Would I notice the difference between say a rancho or procomp and a bilstein? Also I am planning on running 14's all the way around. I have the long front shock hoops and skys rear shock mount, Is there any reason this setup wouldnt work? Just wanted to ask beofre I spent all the money on parts I cant use again.

RANCHO suck stay away if i were you. Procomps are nice and soft and give a grwat ride but the Bilsteins will outlast them all and are far supirior. I would say spend the money on the Bilsteins. I have a used pair of 10" Bilsteins 5150's for sale for $125. If ya need anymore info on them let me know. They were used for less than 3k and i upgraded to 12"s because i have tons of travel and wanted a bit longer shock.

Have you measured to see what you need? Don't just pick a number and use whatever. I have 12" on the front and 10" in the rear with no need for 14" shocks.
Yes, Bilsteins are worth the extra money.

I have measured and the 14 seem to be the best fit. they are a little longer than I would like but the 12's are too short. I guess i will go with the bilsteins since the wabbit has spoken.

It has 4" allpro springs in the front and tg 5" springs in the rear. The fronts have an extra leaf added since it has a v8 in it. I also has a 3" body lift and the 14" tg shock hoops. So total I have around 6" springs in the front and a little over 5 in the rear.

The front shock mounts measure 24" eye to eye and the rears measure 27". The 14" shocks are 20.75 collapsed and 34.90" extended. I would only have 4 inches of up travel but if I go over that the springs would be past flat. The 12's wouldnt give me much extension but would be better on compression.
