lift springs on 91 straight axle how big?
I did a sas on my 91. I ordered a front bar and shackle combo off the net, the front bar is farely slim, but the shackles are 6". Well then i got a brand new set of tuff country 3.5" ez rides for a 79-85. My problem is that my truck looks like it has 6" of lift with only a 3.5" spring, it is very tall. sky's my 35s bad. but my question is. How much rear lift do i need to match the front?
I jacked the truck up and measured it shows 7+" I ordered 5" allpro superflexs and i hope i can adjust from there what do you think? Last edited by TOYOTA 1 : 02-24-2008 at 08:50 PM. |

Sure, but I can't really understand your post or your problem.
It sounds like you have the problem all figured out. You have a sagging rear end, and you got new springs. That will fix a sagging rear end, and the all pro springs should work pretty well. As for the tall truck part, If you didn't want a tall truck, why did you do a SAS?

How does taking the body lift off affect your front to back height? It will fix your "too tall" problem.
As I said, you have new springs, and they should fix your problem. If not, you can just put on longer shackles to level it out the rest of the way. As for the question, you have a fix for your problem, why would you ask AFTER ordering? Good luck.

it doesn't it changes the overall hieght lol, ya i no dumb move by ordering before i knew for shure. but i think it will b close to level from front to back with the 5" springs i ordered. i can figure it out myself with trial and error i just figured some toyota guru has had the same issue that im dealing with and could just tell me the perfect size sping to get!
