Finished SAS

Extreme Offroad in NC did my truck but i helped with the whole thing. The whole thing is beefy as hell for a toyota. Go the front of the frame boxed in and the front spring hangar alone is huge. Instead of doing a 83 axle i had that was completely rusted and tore up, I used a dana 44 from a 77 chevy half ton. Now i dont have to wory about getting longfields or anything. The pics are from a cell phone. ill try to get some better ones if you want.

Psst...Longfields make your Toyota axle STRONGER than a Dana 44.

Blocks are bad.

And for the love of Toyotas cut off those dang u-bolts at least.

...wow, id rather keep IFS i think. You know since that was a custom job from a SHOP you probably could have gotten an all-pro kit and axle for the same amount you paid and had it done the correct way and stronger at that. That set up has alot of weak points

dang dude, was this their first time? sorry but it looks like they try some Chevy mud runner stuff on the front...Why such short front shocks? You should at least ditch the body lift...

Your front pumpkins gear are at least close to your rear ratio right? is the PS brake line hardmounted at all?
I know it sounds like everyone is bashing you on the truck, but we are just hoping you got a very good deal, because most feel a different approach would have been used...

Extreme Offworld NC..Check. BEEFY as hell for a Toyota.... Translation.... Heaver than it should BE!! And the rusted and tore up Toyota stuff with longfeilds would have been the better choice. But Hey it is your money.
Sorry to sound like I'm ragin on your stuff, but this is what happens when crossbreeding occurs!

I think you should send that rusty old toyota front axle to me and I will try the different approach that most are speaking of and we can compair lifts and see which one turns out beefer and is stronger in the long run.

Ups... Seems that your front bumpstops are your shocks... Have those people ever seen a SASed Toyota?
