91 4runner SAS

I have seen a few people do SAS in the front and just lift the rear and I am considering doing this. I am just wondering what is the highest I can go before it starts messing things up. I have the trail gear SAS with the 4" springs am I going to be able to make it match or will it through the geometry way out of wack. I know i will need new shocks and the panhard drop bracket etc.

Yep gonna change several things. Like drive lines front and possibly rear. How much droop does rear have now? Cause lift springs won't change travel of trac bars (links from both frame rails to axle).

Better do more research before you start chopping out parts.

But to answer your question.....Somewheres around 5" of lift and then it can get iffy.

May I recommend that you "tack weld" everything first and do the final weld when everything is mounted and clearances perfectly. Just experience talking there.

Here is my truck It has BJ spacer coils and 3" body lift currently. I have the SAS kit, front axle, drive shaft kit and was thinking about running rear springs out of a pickup on the front and have seen a few people run the lifted stock rear setup and figured it would be fine. But i am having a hard time finding springs and when the lift kit came the springs look so nice and have the military wrap which the pickup springs don't. So I was just wondering if the rear setup would handle that much lift or should I grab the rear leaf setup as well.

You'll probably find it alot easier to match the lift in the front you get with a 4" SAS if you convert the rear to leafpacks...just not much out there for the rear coils.....different situation if you had a Jeep TJ as they can get the 5" Rubicon coil lifts. Longer coils from a Jeep would not work for you as it's the geometry that gets so far out of sync.
