*San Diego*-Last minute Carvacre run on 7/18!
I just found out I have Sun 7/18 off. I was wanting to run Carvacre trail in the morning, hopefully early as possible. Just a quick fix before Big Bear, maybe 2-3hrs on Sun morning.
Hey Mikey-if you come, I'm up for the harder spur to the left so you can try out the new sliders. We may need the machete's and clippers, I'm not sure of the last time anyone went down that way. Remember the first time we took that part of the trail? I still have the lovin' from that rock as a memento.
Anyone else can definitely do this trail in a stock 4x4, you have to try to make it any harder than it is.
Hope some people can make it!
Come on SD crew, this is our local testing ground! Any other people from SD that have missed previous runs here, this would be a good/mellow trip to check it out.

Where's this trail located exactly? I couldn't run it with ya Sunday morning...if it was late afternoon, I'd be there...but either way I'm always down for a new trail...

It's off of 8 east, same exit as the 79 to julian, except you go south off of the fwy instead of north. It's really close to lake barrett and the juvy camp out there. It's about a ten mile trail, usually takes between 2-3 hrs depending on how much we screw around. A lot of local clubs run up there also, I cant find any of the links that show the map/gps for it though. They call it pancake rock also, for a breakfast run they do up there,in case you're looking it up.

I found a map(GPS) and posted it on my site. It's under Offroading Trips.
