Dec 23rd - Jan 3rd So Cal - Anything?

I'm off for the next 10 days and I ain't got chit to do....

Being that I live in Temecula, maybe some of you's guys could show me some spots for light-medium off roading!

My runner is just stock, no locker, no lift, just 4wd.. so I'm down for just some basic off road drivin and learning how to control the truck better

Let me know, I'm down for when-ever.

Hey, my buddy with an xj and I are talking about going out for an hour or so on Sunday possibly. It could fall through, but we are talking about it. We would go out to lawrence welk (Just north of Escondido) off of Gopher canyon. It's pretty easy stuff. Not too big of an area, but should be fun none the less. We're both 4wd and have moderate lifts, but I see stockers up there sometimes.

I am in Lake Elsinore...

Me and my nephews have been planning to wheel on Sunday 12/26. We are thinking of Calcite Mine or Holcomb Creek in Big Bear. Or we could do Lawrence Welk. Or we could show you guys the local trails in the Elsinore, Tuscany, Cottonwood area.

Let me know! Jim

Right on. Lawrence Welk is nothing to write home about. We were just going because it's down the street. It's fun for an hour or two, but I'd hate to make you guys cruise too far for it. Is there anything south of Elsinore that we could explore? I think that is as far as I would be willing to travel on sunday. I just need a really short trip to get some wheelin out.

Hey guys, doesn't matter to me. I'm down for whatever! Just as long as it doesn't involve body damage!!!!

I'll check the board frequently, so whatever we all decide sounds good to me.

No body damage here.

I think I am going to have to stick with Lawrence welk. That was my original plan with my buddy and he doesn't want to drive his jeep too far(They have a tendency to fall apart). I would be more than happy to check out some of those other locations on another day. We're just going to go out for a couple hours. The ride is fun but not too hard. I'd hate to get anyone's hope up if it's a long drive. But, anyone is welcome to come.

Take the 15 south to Gopher Canyon road. Turn Left and then turn right at the light. I forget the name of this road, but head south(It's the main road)

Right in front of the Lawrence welk resort is a Texaco station. I figure we can meet there at 11:00.

If anyone wants to go just be there. Call me if you can't make it or are running late.

Seth 760-224-2706

See ya

From the texaco, you have to go west under the 15.

That road will take you up the hill and you will see a dirt trail. That will take you past a water tower and there are some trail to explore up there.

How was Lawrence Welk? I'm thinking about goin up there sometime this weekend if I don't head to the mountains to see some snow. Looking to do something mild, yet close to home. Anything I need to know about the area as far as it being a legal trail?
