I think I'm going. I'm trying to get some of the VA TTORA pussies to go with me 'cause last time I went there were like 25 Jeeps, 3 Suzukis, and my 'Yota.
You gonna be there?

If I go it will also be for Saturday only. I'm pretty sure I'll be there. It's only about 1:45 from my house.
Last time I ran black trails, and it had rained all night the night before, so I was in over my head with just 32"s and no front locker. If the weather is good the next week and a half I'll try blacks again, but if not I'm running blues.
Did a little door damage trying to squeeze through "Body Shop":
Here's a link with some more pics of the black trails.

hmmm....I thought I would be able to do blacks without body damage. Granted I have full skids and sliders. Not so sure after looking at the pics.
Is the entire place rockcrawling-esque??
If that is the case, I might have more fun on blues. PLus it is my first time there.

Most of the black trails are rock crawling type trails. The trails I ran had bypasses around a lot of obstacles. The "Body Shop" is completely avoidable, and it's the only spot that I got body damage. I had to give it a shot though. BTW, that blue Rubicon laying on it's side there didn't get a single scratch on it while going through. Chris (the guy who lives there and runs the place) is an awesome spotter.
The place is small and laid back. If you start off in one group and decide that you would be better off in the other, it shouldn't be a problem to switch. Your rig seems to have plenty of protection, so you could probably run blacks.
I think I'm gonna sign up tonight for Saturday 12/10.

I will see what the weather does this week before I say which trails I run. However I might just have a nice easy day and run blues. I have sliders and full skids, but I have never seen the place other than your pics and some extreme buggies....Either way I am wheeling

I'm gonna have to bail out on this trip. I was looking the truck over last night to make sure it's in good shape, and I noticed that my steering is a lot more damaged than I thought it was.
The idler arm is bent really bad and actually hits the frame as I steer left and and right. It has started to cut a notch in the frame. I thought I had my old one as a spare, but it's bent just as much (that's why I replaced it I guess ). I'm not gonna bother buying one from the parts store 'cause I'm torching the IFS off in a month or so.
I could pull the one off my '94 truck, but I'm not gonna pull parts off the daily driver to keep the beater wheelable.

Looks like I am not able to make it tomorrow
I didn't have time to get all my fluids swapped out from last weekend
It was A LOT of water, so I need to swap. The damn weather has not co-operated at
