I am dropping by my local dearship this eve to talk turkey on a SE...
yeah, i can always take the stuff off and sell it on eBay or I can trade it out next year for a convertable softtop!
I was hesitant on the passenger seat comfort thing because my wife hates my 4Runner's seat, but she told me today not to worry about it and that if I liked the FJ, then I should have it.

Ok, it's done.
I was the first one to ask about the SE at the dealership. Some of the sales guys knew about it... kinda... but I had to actually use the sales manager's PC in his office to pull up a thread on another FJ fourm to get the ordering info.

Excellent question!!!!
But... no one can tell me, so I am assuming sometime in late Nov early Dec... just my guess.
I am not in any hurry for it to get here though, so when she's in, she's in.
I'll be spending the next few weeks deciding what goodies to put on her.
I want a front and rear bumper, new Cooper Tires, and stereo. I will be getting an iPod (yeah, I'm that guy who doesn't yet own one, although my two kids and my wife all have 'em.

Cooper, good choice.
That is what my Dick Cepeks are.
Made by Cooper, and an exact clone of the Cooper Discoverer STT tire.
Made in the same molds.

You can see the detail of the tread and sidewalls in the above high res pics Nate.
What bumper are ya going for?
I am sticking with ARB since they are air bag compatible, and have been in the protection business for a very long time.
ARB is coming out with a rear bumper too, and it should be on the SEMA FJ in Vegas coming up soon.
I will get one of those too down the road, but may have to swap out my future rear OME 985 coils for the 986 ones to handle the ARBs weight back aft.
If you want total control over your iPod with the stock stereo, check out my write-up in Tech.

Down the road all that is coming out, and I will replace it with an Alpine W200 head unit with a 6.5" LCD screen, and their iPod interface.
But if you run the stock head unit for awhile, get the DICE unit, it sounds better than using the headphone out jack and plugging it to the aux input on the dash, plus gives you control over the iPod from your stereo or steering wheel.

I like the ARB too... but i also like that little small bumper i saw on here someplace.. cant remember who makes it tho.
The front of the FJ needs something to make it look better.
Here's what mine will look like stock when it gets here:

That is a good article too in issue #2 of the FJ magazine.
Just finished all the Baja reading yesternight.
Now you just have to wait for it to get here.
It was a loooooooong four months for me, I never thought it would get here, and I had to drive my broken down 4Runner daily until it got here.
What a relief when it came into the port of Portland, I knew it would not be much longer after that.

I am actually in no rush for the FJ to get here odly enough. That might change later but as of now, I am content to wait it out.
