T-100 mods
I have a stock '95 sr5 t-100 and i was wondering what the pro's thought of this future set up. I've never built a toyota before and was wondering if this would be a alright set-up. OK what i plan on is a full custom interior rollcage, custom tube bumpers, the TC uniball kit, lifted chevrolet springs with longer shackles for flex in the rear, lock-right's in the front end and maybe a spool or another lock-right in the rear end, and just 35" Mud Grapplers on black steel wheels. Let me know what you think.

O yeah i was definetely gonna regear to something that would be about the same as it was with the stock gears and 31's. But i was tooking and all i need to fit them up front was the kit, a BL, and some minor trimming but i also considered some high clearance fiberglass fenders or something of that nature just to be on the safe side.

front wheel well will need to be cut out all the way to the body mount for 35s with the TC kit, as well as about 3" up without a body lift if you want to use all the travel, im using 35s with the Gen. 2 kit, 2" 4crawler body lift and alot of wheel well/firewall trimming.
there is no spool for the 8" T100/Tundra rearend, you can weld the spider gears, limited slip, lunchbox locker, detroit, arb...
i wouldnt use the TC torsion kit with the heavier T100, you may tear out torsion sockets and destroy the uppers faster, its not much more for the coilovers since the gen.1 kit is more money and you have to buy some shocks anyway.
Also include in your budget the TC idler arm or plan on replacing it regularly, even with a downey brace it will wear at the end.

Do you think it's a good idea to just straight axle the front end? My dad has a '78 Chevy 1 ton that i could easily but the axles from. He's got the huge Dana 60's I believe. The truck is a dually but I think I would be able to put single wheels with the rear axle if I get it also. I'm just open to ideas.

Ok i believe i've changed my plans to straight axleing it. Would I be able to do this myself? Ive worked on cars all my life and i was just wondering if I should take it to a shop or if wasnt to bad to do yourself.

you can do it if you know what you are doing and have the right tools for fabricating parts or have an in with sombody who does. Good luck finding a shop that will do it. You would probably have to find a specialty off road shop that would be willing to do it. I don't know where you are at but I have never lived anywhere that had a shop like that. Except know there is a 4Wheel parts wholesale shop about 20min. down the road. Best of luck to you if you take it on yourself. I eventually want a twin turbo 2jz or new5.7 in mine but I just dream because I will probably never have the tools to do it.

T-100 fuel upgrade mod problems
Hmmmm, where to start. Im new to posting, but i have run out of options. this is what i have:
-97 sr5 4x4 3.4v
-trd supercharger
-k&n cold air intake
-split second fuel control unit
-306cc injector(stock is 268cc i think)
-larger fuel pump and thermostat
-plx r500 fuel air gauge/computer
-bilstein shocks
im hopeing someone else out there has installed the underdog racing development fuel upgrade kit for the trd supercharger in a t-100. im haveing a huge problem tuneing. i can get it to a fuel/air ratio of 12.1. (optimum fuel to power) but for some reason at certain places while driveing, my fuel/air ratio goes from 12.1 to 9.9. totally enriching the system. the only way to reset is to pull the eci fuse. Im so sick to death of this that im starting to think about pulling the entire system out and just running stock again. please, if anyone out there has any ideas, im open to sugestions. thanks everyone

well, in that case, have fun and good luck. post some pics of your build if you do decide to go for it. sounds like you got the perfect setup with tools. looking forward to seeing pics of a sas T100.
