2 inch lift for a T100

I'm new to the forums i have a 1998 t100 3.4V6 5speed manuel 4x4 i want to do a 2 inch lift if possible because i dont have that much money to do mods right now and i want to try to fit 32x11.50 or maybe even 33's if possible. If there is a backspacing that i have to meet to fit thats big of tires i would like to find out to.
Thanks,
Joey

I've got a set of 33x10.5 BFG AT's on order right now, hope to have them on the truck by the weekend. From looking at the clearances I think they are going to fit stock, but in the long term I'm planning to do a 1.5" ball joint spacer in the front, and make some longer shackles in the back. I'll post pictures up when I get them on.

My understanding is the BJ spacer eliminates the need to crank up the torsion bars to get lift. Either option puts the CV's at more of an angle, but a lot of people run it so it shouldn't be too much for the CV's to handle.

I'll post up here how well the 33x10.5 fits with no lift at all. I'm expecting some rubbing, we'll see.

4crawler sells extended shackles:

I was planning to make my own, are simple enough.

I've never heard of a 33x11.5 tire, you may be thinking of 33x12.5's. For 33x12.5's you'll want 15x8" wheels, and less backspacing. Its likely they won't fit in the wheels wells under compression, and you'll probably have to use a body lift to get the body higher.

I think it'll mostly depend on what backspacing your wheels are. With stock backspacing you might rub on the inside when the wheels are turned all the way, possibly of the frame or some other suspension components. Either way I think its likely the wider tire won't tuck up into the wheels wells, and you'll have some rubbing there at full stuff. When I get the tires I'll try to get pictures of the tight clearance points so you can see how a wider tire might fit in there.

Tires are on. They just touch the stock mudflaps at full turn. I didn't hear any rubbing on my drive home from the tire shop, so if they're touching anywhere its really minor. I'll bring my camera to work tomorrow and get some daylight pictures, and hopefully get it flexed out this weekend to really check for clearances.

Alright, here are some (not as crappy as expected) cell phone pics:
Side Shot

They fit under the fenders perfectly

Here is the slight rub when the wheel is fully turned:

T100's are perfect for a 2 inch body lift, the rear bumper brackets are made to raise the rear bumper 2 inches , I did one on my T100, used the Performance Accessories 2 inch body lift. The body is set way to low on these trucks, after the lift there is more room to work under the truck. Here is a link to a T100 with body lift.

I had a chance to wheel it this weekend. I've definitely got some rubbing on the front mud flaps when flexing out with the wheel turned, but its really minor.

I've ordered the 1.5" ball joint spacer, and will make my own extended shackles. Hope to get them installed this weekend. I expect no rubbing once the lift is on.

I want the truck as low as possible, so I see no reason to add a body lift, but to each their own.

you can run 33's stock on t100 with minimal rubbing without the front mud flaps and the torsion bars cranked...2inch body is a perfect fit for 33s...imo id do a 2inch body lift and call it a day because when you mess with the suspension your gonna need new shocks plus shacks and the bj spacers, body lift is the cheapest way...

i fit 33x12.5x15 on 10 wide rims... idk the back spacing though and my truck was stock i did NO trimming what so ever...only thing i did was toss the mud flaps and jack the torsions...and had MINIMAL rubbing but when i got the 2inch body lift i jacked the torsions down a lil bit for a better ride and it was straight for the clearence no rubbing...

Thanks a lot for ur help i will do the 2 inch body and the 33x11.50. I will see wat the backspacing on ur rims is and make sure i get the proper spacing. Cause if i rub my dad will flip out and kill me cause he says it will tear up my truck.
