Who has the IPF fogs in the FJ Cruiser ARB bumper?

If the weather holds for the weekend, I am tackling my long overdue foglight install in the ARB bumper.

We ran out of time a few months back when putting the ARB bumper, winch, and OME lift on.

Here is a pic of a diagram I am using, and the relay all hooked to the harness.

You will see right below the black relay is another one that came with the kit.
I do not have the install info, does anyone know if this must be plugged in?

I did, and it was an awfully tight fit, not sure if it has to be in or not.

Using a factory Tacoma switch too with a modified wire clip from trdparts4u and fjcruiseroffroad.com

OK, I found out the black relay does indeed plug into the other relay part that has the wire bundle connected to it.

The kit came with two wire taps, the kind you lay or pass through two wires you want to splice.

I have never used this type, I have always used the ones that look like a small tube with two open ends on them and you shove the wire in each end, then crimp.

This is the type the kit came with.

When you use pliers to push the metal blade down, how far do you squeeze?
If you go to far, will it cut the wire all the way in half?
That would not be good

I have always used the other type as mentioned.
These are to tap into the power and ground coming off of my running lights in the ARB bumper to two of the wires from the bundle that goes to the foglight relay.

Mine is similar to the brown one that accepts two wires.

Just push far enough for the plastic flap to latch and click into place, then tape it up good.

you squeeze them all the way down w/ the pliers. you won't hurt the wire that way either.

Thanks.
I have always been a little leery on this type of connector.

I like the other tube type like I mentioned, and also the ones with the metal threads inside that you twist the wires together and cram in it and then twist them.

Did not get a chance to wire these up today, the morning started out pretty cold, but then got nice later in the afternoon.
If the weather is fair tomorrow, I hope to at least get the wires all run in the engine bay, then tackle the switch later.
Have to find out first how to pull the end of the dash apart to access where the switch is going.

It is not going in the lower console by the E locker and other switches, it is going up above to the left of the steering wheel by the alarms LED.
