hooking up 7 pin to 2001 4runner

ok i have already connected the 7 pin trailer adapter to my 4 runner along with the brake controller and everything works perfectly....but what i need help with is hooking up my reverse lights of the 4runner to the auxiliary portion of the adapter... does anyone know which wires are what and do i have to splice into both sets of reverse lights or just one? any input will be helpful!! thank you

just one. pull off one of the rear tail lamps, find the reverse bulb socket, find the wires to that socket. tap into whichever is not ground (the one going to the center of the socket)

i think you'll be ok, because there should be a fuse for each light somewhere else, like under the hood
