alarm acting up after installing red top bat.

OEM or aftermarket?
If it's aftermarket I would start by going to the installer and asking them if they know what's going on. Maybe the act of removing the battery messed up the alarm's programming? |

the battery is after market but i installed it. the alarm is factory

My guess is that the alarm is in a failsafe mode 'cause it thinks that someone pulled the battery (or otherwise cut the power) to try to bypass it.
You're gonna need to figure out what the alarm is (mfg and model) then track down the programming instructions for it.
